In 1978 Angus made the honours list for his devotion to duty in the operational areas of Rhodesia, despite the fact that he had been the victim of an attack by terrorists, during which he was wounded, this never stopped him from continuing to devote himself to his duties as a Senior Engineman, without thought for his personal safety, which is a testament to the man he was and the life he lived.
